PADI IDC Online eLearning Option

PADI IDC Online Independent eLearning

This will cost slightly more, but there are two main reason you might want to take this option.

  1. You have a limited amount of time and want to do the PADI IDC more quickly. This way you can cut down your IDC by 2-3 days. If you choose this option you will need to come fully prepared for the IDC and we also advise doing the Dive Theory online in advance (see below). We have had students complete the IDC in as little as 6 days with this option with our tailor made one-on-one program.
  2. It will enable you to have a more relaxed IDC. The IDC will run with the lectures for those who have not completed online learning, and so during each lecture, you are free to relax, study, or as a special offer, go on a free fun dive!  One free fun dive will be available during each lecture!

PADI Divemaster Dive Instructor Theory Online

As part of the IDC you are required to take 5 dive theory exams. If you did the old Divemaster course, with 8 exams, you will have studied these already, but if you did the new DM course (2011 onwards, with only 2 exams) you will not.

Either way, you will need to study up in advace for these! You can use the Diving Knowledge Workbook and Encylopedia of Recreational Diving, but the Dive Theory online is a great way to do it as well.

Each online section consists of multi-media instructional sections followed by study questions. End-of-section assessments verify eLearner mastery of each of the following:

  • The Physics of Diving
  • The Physiology of Diving
  • Diving Equipment
  • Decompression Theory and the Recreational Dive Planner
  • The Diving Environment
  • Diving Skills
